Clipper's Steelwinds project in Lackawanna, New York is passing through a dark and uncertain repair/redesign. Earlier in the week only the tower on the right hand (north) had blades, so it appears that the lattice boom crane in the center of the photo is installing, not removing, the turbine hub and blades - presumably after the repair of the gear box.

A lot of controversy about Wind Turbines being built on the shore line of Lackawanna. Some say they are an eye sore and will be VERY noisy, and others say Western New York has a chance to lead the way in an energy revolution. I have put together some information about wind turbines in hopes we all can all make educated decisions.
