July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration.
It will take place on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the Central Wharf on the Erie Canal Harbor. This free-to-the-public event, brought to you by the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation, Buffalo Place Inc. and the City of Buffalo, will feature some of Buffalo's best talent and a fabulous fireworks display over the Buffalo River in celebration of the opening of the Erie Canal Harbor and the Independence Day holiday.

The S. S. Canadiana
The Canadiana came down the ways of the Buffalo Dry-Dock in May of 1910, the last passenger vessel to be built in Buffalo at the end of the maritime era. ~ With the classic lines of all Frank Kirby boats, she is the personification of his palatial steamships which plied the waters of the Great Lakes into the 1950's.
