July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration.

July 4th Celebration: Buffalo's Official Fourth of July Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Central Wharf on the Erie Canal Harbor.

Celebrate our independence with fireworks and great local musical acts at the Erie Canal Harbor - Central Wharf at Buffalo’s Official Fourth of July Celebration.  The party starts at 5:00 p.m. and a fabulous fireworks display will end the fun evening!

Musical performances will include:
Michael Oliver & The Sacred Band: 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
Cadenza of the Colored Musicians Club of Buffalo, New York: 6:45 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
Tom Stahl And The Dangerfields: 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

There will also be free children’s activities with Explore & More Children’s Museum throughout the evening and food and beverage available for purchase.  The Explore and More activity tentwill be open from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  There will also be clowns from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. doing balloon animals and tattoos.

Support the Food Bank of WNY at GoodieFest - you have the opportunity to buy homemade baked goods and support the Food Bank of WNY.  GoodieFest will be staged at the entrances to the Erie Canal Harbor site on Commercial Street in the historic Ruins alongside the Commercial Slip.

No coolers, cans, bottles or outside concessions will be permitted within the event site. All personal bags, backpacks, wagons and buggies are subject to inspection.  For more information contact Buffalo Place Inc. 716/856-3150.
